Y70 Modular Asset

20 May 2025 :

Was Thinking Of Foods so I did some Research on Anime Food to Come to Life, then I realize it has to be stackable. Changed my Ideas to more like buildings and set a village module assets and change again due to the open lid and interchangeable parts as well as 3,000 Triangles so I have set my mind on either a Coffee Machine from Starbucks or a Hyte 70 PC Model which have Components that I do like. I select Hyte 70 because its the dream Model, with the interchangeable parts, a Lid to open, stackable assets and able to rearrange them however you like. Just like a Real life PC.  Made the Case, Glass, Making Fans now, unsure whether to make the fans more design with led lights and more intricate shapes since we have 3k triangles poly limit, so I did the basic first and move onto the next pc component. Starting with the Graphic Card, doing a easiest and cheapest poly count which is RTX 4070 Super, if have more counts I can do GeForce RTX 4070 TI.

After tallying up every component and rearranging them, I need cut down some polygons and probably show the fans in High Poly but when showing as a 3k Triangles Project, i would change the Fans into a Plane Circle to save polygon count. Deleting polygon surfaces which couldn't be seen to save polygon counts as well and also deleting several high poly surfaces and making them more low poly. Manage to reduce from 3.6k to 1.6k, Have to Abandon the Fan ideas and showing the Fan logo would just have to be a Plane at certain areas.

Made 6 Materials for The PC, The Cables, PC Case, Metal Frame, Rubber Cable, Inner Panel, Shadow Inner Lines, textured Entire PC, need troubleshoot and retexture as some materials come off diff in UE compared to Substance painter. Making Cables now, Carbon Fiber Cables and RGB ones with some Glass Tubes for Water Cooling. Currently looking back at the model and thinking I need make more trimsheet materials to break the parts down even more to stand out.

Redoing Materials list for Trimsheet

Carbon Fiber

Rubber

Black Hole Lines For Height

Black Half Rough Metal Iron

Shiny Black Metal

Metallic Silver

Shiny Plastic

RGB Lights

Glass

Set RGB Lights to function and switching to pulsating different colour while also being able to set Glass material and Currently Thinking whether I need to redo Texture for the metal PC frame and the ventilations for the contrast. Setting Up Redoing Water Cooling tubes, Metal Pipes and Remodelling some SSD Cards, fans and etc to make sure total Polygons can make use of all 3,000 triangles. Made a Screw, Exactly 3k Now.

Place Textures onto Items, Brought them into Unreal engine and now rearrange them and build my Own PC variation, refer to references and tweak afew ideas to make sure it looks like a PC someone definitely would want to buy and waste thousands of $ on

Planning to make different RGB design breathing speed, patterns and colour range so it looks unique and not a static copy paste colour. Most Parts for a PC is usually different brands and even all the best parts doesnt always have to be from the same brand, this also means the RGB Lights making patterns would differ as well. So I would be making them slightly different so each one of them can stand out in their own way without causing it to stick out too much as well.

Finding Brands to use as Decals to Place on the Items, Finding some Vents/Grill Decals as well. But Overall the PC is looking well with the Pulsating RGB lights and the details so far.

Currently Asset looks quite good to me, I probably need add in more wires in the background to make sure some space is being filled and not just empty. Using several decals to make the things less blank as well cause usually most components have brandings slapped onto them. As I'm doing those I'm also editing the Devlog and adjusting the Itch.io site for decoration and taking screenshots of progresses.

Currently Trying to make few RGB Cables move a certain direction in which I have to redo the UV unwrapping for the cables and arrange them in a way for the RGB Pulsation to move from one end to the other smoothly. Adjusted UV, keyed inside the Material for the Panner's X Movement to be -1 Speed for the Cable to move RGB light from one tube end to the other tube end. Copied paste the same RGB Description Blueprint attribute and added variables such as Light Intensity and Light Hue Saturation.

Filling up the spots by copying pasting wires, screws, labels and trying figure out how to make animated videos in order to replace the LED Touchscreen. Added Time, date as well as the Brand of the PC and Model on the touchscreen along with some description around the PC casing for minor details.

Copied Video URL : K/DA Popstar, Download video as MP4 and set it as Media Source. Afterwards set it as a media texture on the Touchscreen side and scale it with texture coordinates playing around with U Tiling, V Tiling and then moving it around with U Parameter and P Parameter in order for the Video to be centralized and also not squeezed too much.

After Adding Date as Clock On Touchscreen with Diorama Base for Cinematic Lighting Showcase.

Prepared Video Demoreel / Showcase.
